Quick Playblast - Blender Addon

📌 Overview

Quick Playblast is a simple Blender add-on that lets you instantly render viewport animations with a single click.
It automatically saves the playblast, prevents overwriting, and even opens it in your default video player after rendering.

📥 Installation

1. Download the ZIP file (do not extract).
2. Open Blender and go to Edit → Preferences → Add-ons.
3. Click Install..., select the downloaded ZIP file, and click Install Add-on.
4. Enable "Quick Playblast" in the add-ons list.
5. (Optional) Customize settings in Preferences under the "Quick Playblast" section.

🚀 How to Use

Method 1: Use the Button

1. Open the 3D viewport.
2. Press N to open the sidebar.
3. Go to the "Render" tab.
4. Click "Quick Playblast".

Method 2: Use the Shortcut

• Press Shift + P anywhere in Blender to start the playblast instantly!

Where is My Playblast Saved?

• Default folder: //playblast/ (inside your Blender project directory).
• You can change the save location in Edit → Preferences → Quick Playblast.

⚙️ Features & Customization

You can customize these settings in Blender Preferences → Add-ons → Quick Playblast:

• Output Folder → Choose where playblasts are saved.
• Resolution % → Set playblast resolution (default: 50%).
• File Format → Select between MP4, AVI, or PNG sequence.
• Auto-Open Playblast → Enable/disable automatic playback after rendering.

❓ FAQ

1️⃣ My playblast overwrote my last one!

• Playblasts are now auto-named with a timestamp, so this won’t happen.

2️⃣ The playblast isn't playing automatically.

• Check if "Auto-Open Playblast" is enabled in Preferences.
• If it still doesn’t work, open the playblast manually from your output folder.

3️⃣ Does this work on all operating systems?

✅ Yes! Works on Windows, macOS, and Linux.
