Cam Align – Quick Camera Alignment for Blender 🚀

Cam Align is a simple Blender addon that allows you to align the camera to your current view instantly without using the default clunky shortcut (Ctrl + Alt + Numpad 0). Instead, just press V or use the button in the N-panel under "Cam Align".

🔧 Installation

1. Download the cam_align.py file.
2. Open Blender and go to Edit > Preferences > Add-ons.
3. Click Install..., select the downloaded file, and enable it.
4. Now, press V or use the "Cam Align" button in the N-panel to align the camera.

🎮 How to Use

• Shortcut: Press V in the 3D View to align the camera to the current perspective.
• Button: Open the N-panel (N key) and go to the "Cam Align" tab. Click the Align Camera to View button.

Does this replace the default Blender shortcut?

No, it simply adds a new shortcut (V) and a button for quicker access. The default Ctrl + Alt + Numpad 0 shortcut still works.

What if V is already used in my keymap?

By default, "V" is not mapped to anything in the 3D View. However, if you have a custom keymap that conflicts, you can change the shortcut in Edit > Preferences > Keymap. Look for "view3d.align_camera" and assign it a different key.

Will this work in all modes?

Yes, Cam Align works in Object Mode, Edit Mode, and Sculpt Mode—anywhere you can use the 3D View.
